Commissioning Engineer /Technician – HVDC Switchgear Control

We are currently looking for a Inbetriebsetzungsingenieur/-techniker (m/w/d) für HGÜSchaltanlagensteuerung for our Centre of Excellence of Advanced Engineering.
This profile will be located in Forchheim, Germany.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform hardware and software testing, including customer acceptance, at our test center in Germany and at HVDC sites worldwide.
• Configure, test and commission field control devices for HVDC switchgear.
• Troubleshoot technical issues independently and support our Software Engineering team.
• Support commissioning management with quality, risk and claim management, as well as continuous improvement activities.
• Coordinate and monitor schedules and progress within your area of responsibility.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering or a comparable qualification, or a technical qualification with relevant experience.
• Strong professional experience in the commissioning of field control devices, ideally SIPROTEC 5 with DIGSI 5.
• Good knowledge of high-voltage and switchgear technology, including interlocking logic and sequence testing.
• Knowledge of protection systems/protection relays and experience with OMICRON test equipment is a plus.
• Certified Electrical Specialist (EFK) qualification.
• Good command of English; German is a plus.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel internationally.
• Willingness to undertake predominantly long-term assignments at domestic and international construction sites, with optional offshore assignments.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, initiative, decision-making ability and a positive approach to conflict resolution.
